About the Subscription
Common questions we get about the service.
We cover a wide range of security and cyber fraud topics specifically curated for older adults. We compile the latest data from FBI fraud reports to determine the most relevant risks in each demographic, then sort by location. During the signup process, we match this information to the details provided on your account to make sure you (or the family members you choose to sponsor) receive the most relevant training content.
So depending on your region and demographic, you'll see topics ranging from relationship scams, fake tech support calls, and password hygiene, to deepfakes, voice cloning, and multi-factor authentication.
That's absolutely okay. We understand the challenge and have several options to ensure your family member can still benefit from our content. If using a phone or tablet for the mobile app is challenging, we offer an online portal that can be accessed easily from a computer.
We can also send content directly to her email each month, making it convenient to stay updated. For those who prefer print media, we're also working on a GranGuard magazine, which will provide valuable information in a more traditional print format.
Our goal is to make cybersecurity education accessible and effective for everyone, regardless of their tech skills.
Absolutely. No hidden tricks or weird hoops to jump through to cancel. Simply cancel your account from the Subscription management page, give us a call, or send us an email if you need any help.
Absolutely, yes. Although we hope older adults will be coming through to sign themselves up, as millennial 'tech support' grandkids ourselves, we know it will probably be more caretakers, kids, and grandkids looking to sponsor an a older family member.
We've tried to make the 'sponsoring' process easy during signup, just by adding the email of the family member you have in mind.
About this Project
Common questions we get about the company.
We've spent our careers tackling cybersecurity challenges for businesses and governments around the world. When we saw the rise in online scams targeting the elderly, we were shocked at how few solutions were actually available to the public. While there are some free, static, text-based resources out there, we felt it was time for a dedicated provider focused on protecting friends and family.
While GranGuard is specifically designed to address the unique cybersecurity needs of seniors, younger family members can certainly benefit as well. Our content is valuable for anyone looking to improve their online safety and become more aware of potential threats. By learning alongside their older relatives, younger family members can help reinforce the lessons and provide additional support, creating a safer online environment for the whole family.
It's also worth noting that we'll be expanding our content catalogue in the future based on demand for younger demographics. If this is something you're interested in, please send us a message letting us know.
We currently only offer content in English. However, we are committed to making our services accessible to a wider audience and plan to support additional languages in the future based on demand. We value your feedback and encourage you to let us know if you have specific language needs, as this helps us prioritize future development.
