GranGuard provides scam-defense education, tools, and support for individuals and families.

2. What we collect

  • Account data: name, email, login credentials, plan selection, and family/sponsored member relationships if you invite others.
  • Payment data: processed by our payment provider; we store limited billing metadata (plan, status, last 4, expiry month/year).
  • Service usage: course progress, quiz responses, interactions with tools (e.g., scam checker submissions), support chats you initiate.
  • Device & analytics data: IP address, device/browser type, and usage events when analytics cookies are accepted. We do not sell data.
  • Communications: emails or support messages you send us.

3. How we use your information

  • Provide and maintain the service (accounts, authentication, course delivery, family management).
  • Process payments, manage subscriptions, and send billing notices.
  • Send service communications (receipts, important updates, security notices).
  • Improve the service and content (analytics when you consent to non-essential cookies).
  • Provide support and respond to your requests.
  • Protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats; comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal bases (UK/EU)

  • Contract: to provide the service you request.
  • Legitimate interests: security, service improvement (where consent is not required), fraud prevention.

5. Sharing

We share data only with service providers who help us operate GranGuard, under data protection agreements:

  • Family / sponsored plans: supporters may see limited activity summaries for members they sponsor (e.g., course completion).
  • Legal, security, or compliance disclosures when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell personal data.

  • Account data: kept while your account is active. If you cancel, we retain minimal records for legal, security, and accounting requirements.
  • Billing records: retained as required by tax and accounting laws.
  • Analytics data: retained according to provider defaults; we minimize or anonymize where possible.

We use industry-standard security measures (encryption in transit, access controls, logging). No system is perfect; please protect your credentials and let us know about any suspected issues.

GranGuard is for adults (18+). If you believe a child provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
